micro-donations while you dine

Celebrated Chefs is an exciting program designed to raise money for non-profit organizations all year long.  Participating restaurants donate 5% of your dining bill to your designated cause. Currently, Celebrated Chefs has taken over Seattle, with the SF, Chicago and DC markets coming soon. Dan Schrotter, owner and chef of Palio d'asti was selected as one of San Francisco's Celebrated Chefs.

I took this picture of Dan last year when I was doing some interior and food photography for his restaurant. It will be published in the first edition of San Francisco Celebrated Chefs cookbook, a recipe book featuring 55 Bay Area chefs who are participating in the program.

I revisited some of the shots from that day when retrieving Dan's portrait for the publication. I share a few of these below. Such a beautiful old world Italian-themed space and delicious food!! Congratulations to Dan and Palio 'd Asti!
